This series of posts are intended to be short thoughts on trends I see in the culture and church, both positive and negative. Given my cheery disposition, they will likely end up being mostly trending problems I see.
These are not fully developed arguments, but the seeds of arguments. They are a placeholder for my thoughts and may be a stimulus for yours as well.
They are offered as matters of insight, some may be warnings, all are offered in hope. I was told by a faithful Catholic bishop once, “I am a Christian. I am not allowed to despair.” So, I offer my words in hope of the work of the Holy Spirit – to convict of sin, righteousness and judgement, and to make much of Christ (John 14:25-31, 16:4-11).
